Wanderburg camp shop — silver leaves your pocket at the between-run loadout

Silver Farming

Last Updated · Sep 12, 2026 · Early Access

Silver buys the loadout. Overtime pays the silver.

Key Takeaways

  • Clear the four-boss loop first — then farm Overtime while the castle is stable.
  • Spend silver on the missing starter piece before a vanity captain.
  • Unlock toast ≠ owned — buy Front Cannon / Arms in the loadout between runs.
  • Shop / camp stills show where silver actually leaves your pocket.

Don’t mix gold and silver — what’s silver for?

Answer: Gold is in-run (eat villages, flocks, enemies → level-ups). Silver is meta — you spend it between runs on the loadout: modules, crew, vehicles, captains.

Creators sometimes say “gold” while standing in the shop. Follow the UI word silver for meta spend. Mortar “gold collection records” are in-run gold — not a silver route.

Steam store copy never names silver or shop prices. Official about-text only says unlocks for modules, vehicles, artifacts, and captains happen between runs. Unlock toast in a run only lets you purchase it in the loadout — silver pays that buy. What to buy once you’re rich: Best modules · Captains.

Four bosses down — do I enter Overtime?

Answer: Yes, if you can still kite — Overtime is the primary silver loop after you clear the map’s four bosses.

The UI offers end screen or Overtime for extra silver / beat a record. Enemies speed up and “go crazy.” Players say the longer you last, the better the silver feel — we don’t have a formula, so don’t greed a dead run.

Cash out instead if you’re one hit from death, a boss is still on the field (grind tapes call that “not great”), or your kit has no mobility. Speed / nitro / ram help. Empress half-speed is an OT risk — see Captains.

Enter Overtime only when the castle can still kite.

Quick call

  • Enter OT — HP fine, field clear, you can kite.
  • Cash out — brick mid-fight, leftover boss, or zero mobility.
  • Map rule — farm a map you can full-clear + OT. Green Plains four bosses unlock Golden Dunes. Dusky Pines is spoken as difficulty 3 with a 1.3× silver tag; that tag does nothing if you never reach OT. Wasteland gets called hardest — skip until your kit survives.

How long do I farm silver before I stop and buy unlocks?

Answer: Stop when you’ve got a toast waiting and enough silver to actually purchase it — don’t sit on unlocks while you grind “one more” OT for no reason.

Early on, 8 silver can’t buy anything. One long stream called an Overtime payout around ~3,000 “enough for a proper upgrade”; a grind end-screen cited 3k silver as “enough for one day.” Those are single-run color, not a price table — use them as “you’re in buy-range,” not a target formula.

Priority buys once the toast exists: Front Cannon (side cannons 10), Arms (ram 10), Turret Layer / Side Ballista if you’re on that family, Repair Crew after 100 health boxes. No verified shop price grid — we won’t invent one. Kits that survive OT long enough to bank: turrets+arrows (drop and retreat), mines+ram (keep moving), cannons+mortar once built. Mobility first.

Quest board — when do I grab the lump silver?

Answer: Knock out the lifetime / one-run quests while you play normally — the lump pays when the counter fills, not on a special farm map.

Consume 100 units in one run500 silver. Consume 1,000 sheep overall2,500 silver (spoken as meta progression). Route pastures and flocks while you clear bosses; don’t derail a clean OT just to chase sheep if you’re already dying.

Unlock quests matter too: destroy 100 health boxes overall → Repair Crew; destroy 120 walking enemies overall → Companion (then still buy). Daily quests show up on the HUD; reset rules aren’t clear — don’t plan a schedule around them yet.

  • Cash out at four bosses with full HP and a clear field.
  • Chase Demo 8 mage-tower farm clips.
  • Treat in-run gold records as silver rates.
  • Quote shop prices from a stream — numbers aren’t crossed.
